Vogosca: Ambassadors of the Czech Republic and Belgium Visit Mine Cleared Sites in the Municipality


12/21/2009 - Vogosca – Representatives of the demining company "REASeuro WORLDWIDE"doo, BHMAC and the International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victim Assistance (ITF) today handed over demined locations  within the projects “Krivace A1”, total surface area 5,107 m2, and “Sedraski gaj”, total surface area 5,003 m2, to representatives of the Civil Protection Service of the Municipality of Vogosca.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Tomas Szunyo, Head of the Diplomatic Office of the Embassy of Belgium, Alex Lenaerts, and the Mayor of the Municipality of Vogosca, Asim Sarajlic, with their associates visited the demined sites located in the local community of Gora.

Both projects were financed through joint funds provided by the Municipality of Vogosca and the Governments of Belgium and the Czech Republic: who invested 18,000 Euros via the International Trust Fund (ITF) - 9,000 Euros per project.
The company "REASeuro WORLDWIDE"doo was the demining contractor. They found and destroyed 12 landmines and UXO at two locations.
